Jer. 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? 'I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.'"
God's gift to us is 'freedom to choose' at our own discretion. Thus, when we choose what is good and right it is because we want to not because we are forced to. But it is our bane as well. There are so many things in life that can influence us in the wrong directions. It can be scary to know that God is watching. But it is comforting as well. When we call upon the Lord to help us do what is good and right, He will be there to help us. God wants us to succeed, and grow in understanding, because God knows that the godly choices will ultimately bring about positive results in our lives and those around us. So, don't despair. Keep your relationship with the Lord fresh, intimate, and constant.
Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
